March 2 General Meeting and Honorees

  Join the Shamrock Club of Wisconsin for our March 2  General Meeting and 63 Birthday Party at the Irish Cultural and Heritage Center, 2133 W Wisconsin Avenue, Milwaukee at 6.30 pm.

Is é ár lá breithe. Bígí ag ceiliúradh leis an gClub na Seamróige! It is our birthday! Celebrate with the Shamrock Club.

We are serving corned beef and potatoes. Please bring a dessert or a side dish. And we will also have our always awesome and awe-inspiring raffle (The prizes are so great, and varied and many, they are difficult to describe.)

You can again meet our Irish honorees, Deb Kreuser, Irish Rose; Irishman, Pat Farley; and Parade Marshals John and Kathy Avery.

We will also have music from Ceol Cairde

It sounds like a perfect day, birthday cake, corned beef and Irish music, so be a part of it.  

In 1960, The Shamrock Club of Wisconsin started a revolution in the life of Irish Wisconsin. The organization started small, but eventually became the wellspring of Irish life and culture for much of Milwaukee and the State of Wisconsin. Where there was a void in the cultural side of life, soon the Shamrock Club would fill it with parades, Irish dancing, an Irish festival, scholarships, and so much more.

The Shamrock Club is the oldest and largest Irish American membership organization in the State of Wisconsin. In 2020, we celebrate our 60th anniversary. It was founded on March 17, 1960, in Milwaukee. 

Currently, there are chapters in Milwaukee, South Central, Dane County, New London, Fox Cities, and Lafayette County. Statewide chapters hold monthly meetings, organize St. Patrick's Day parades, change the city of New London to New Dublin for the week, raise the flag over the State Capitol, as well as other Irish related activities. 

All of our chapters are involved in fund-raising and have donated thousands of dollars to numerous causes in the past five decades.

 Membership Dues Can Be Paid Online
The Shamrock Club membership dues are due each year by the end of June.

Dues are $24 for a single, and $36 for a family, and $18 for dance families.
